Jeremy Henry epitomizes the post-modern musician. He is completely self-taught, playing both piano and guitar without ever having a single lesson. This DIY mentality drove him to use technology as a form of musical composition, learning as he went and inventing techniques to suit his own unique musical sensibilities.

At age 9 he began making remixes, using a stop/motion technique by recording samples from vinyl records onto cassette tapes thus giving birth to his glitch-infused style. His fascination with technology and sound manipulation led to a new style of DIY production, combining varied elements of his background (ranging from 80’s hip-hop to Broadway show tunes) in a style that is only now coming into it’s own known as Glitch.

Dissatisfied with the landscape of pop music, Jeremy began to produce music professionally in 2006, using advances in technology to create remixes and mash-ups (citing Girl Talk as an influence), and using those sensibilities to compose original songs.

In 2009, he remixed the award-winning song “ROCKET” for indie recording artist, Jasper James. An instant connection was established between the two pioneers, and they joined forces, combining Jasper’s lyrical genius with Jeremy’s tech savvy. The result was a reinvention of the underground genre “Glitch-Hop,” which takes DJ staples of break-beats and turntablism, meshing them with samples, sound glitches and substantial lyrical content. Together, they have revolutionized digital artistry, creating a sonic experience that can only be described as “the future of music.”
